Baptims and Flutternutters!!

Tuesday- Well we had zone conference today and it was do fun!! The covid restrictions have lessened so we were able to have our whole zone come!! We probably had 30 missionaries! The things we learned were amazing but the food was my favorite part! haha jk. Kinda. When we have a normal zone conference they pay people to cater. We had chicken and rice of course but the chicken was delicious and the rice was similar to fried rice and it had some vegetables in it. But my favorite part was the noodle salad!! It reminded me of noodle salad that my mom makes so it was great to have some more normal food! I wish I could've gotten a picture for you guys but these African Elders love their food so they had MOUNTAINS of rice and noodle salad on their plates!! Haha I thought I ate a lot until I saw their plates! After zone conference we were able to have a lesson with a man named Abraham. It went so well and I'm excited for him! Wednesday- We started off today by teaching a couple lessons...

Familiar Faces And Pancakes!!

Tuesday- Today was a solid day! I got up and made pancakes and they weren't perfect but they were wonderful! Haha after that we went and taught our friend Esther! Esther has been progressing well and she accepted an invitation to be baptized so I look forward to that!! After that we went home to wait for Elder Mukonda's new companion. And this is sooooo crazy!! His new companion is Elder Shakespeare from Kanab!!!! I played against Elder Shakespear in football and basketball!! So crazy that two kids from small towns in southern Utah could end up on the same mission in Liberia and live together in the same apartment!! Fun stuff! Other than that we taught a few more lessons that were all good! Wednesday- Today was a solid day! We taught 5 lessons. We met with Andrew first. Andrew stopped us on the street a few days ago and wanted us to come meet him. We were able to teach him the restoration and he was very interested and asked if he could come to church!! Things went well with hi...

Monday- Well I usually don't write about P-days but last week's p day was a blast! Since Elder Bennett is going home he wanted to have one last big zone party. So we had the whole zone over and we had the best food ever!! Haha we had burgers, cassava, and the BEST pineapple I've ever had!! It was a great day!!     Tuesday- Well today started off really solid!! Our first lesson was with a lady named Love! We contacted her last week and weren't really sure about how we felt about her. But with today's lesson I'm very optimistic about her. Also one of her friends named Mercy joined us and she seemed very interested so that was great!! After that we taught more lessons! That night we got home and Elder Bennett was making a pot of white country gravy. I almost cried haha! Anytime I eat American food my day gets 100 times better haha!      Wednesday- Well today was vaccination day! Luckily I got mine before I left home but our mission President encouraged all of the m...

Bush Meat And An Empty Font

Tuesday- Our day started off with District Council! I love District Council!! Our District is very small it's just me and Elder yemho and then our neighbors next door Elder Bennett and Mukonda. I'm grateful for Mukonda and Bennett they have both been out for a long time and they know a lot. So it's a blessing to be able to sit and learn from them. After District Council we had a long day of teaching appointments!! We try and go to Holder farm which is a LONG walk from kakata on Tuesdays so we can get it out of the way haha! While we were there we got an FM!! (Free Meal) It was the usual rice, soup, and fish. But there was also a different type of meat that neither me or Elder yemoh had ever seen!! President Price told us not to eat "bush meat" which can be anything. So instead of eating the bush meat we threw it to a stray dog that was nearby! Haha after that we finished up with a few more teaching appointments! Wednesday- Well today we covered some ground!! Haha ...
