Hey guys!!      What a crazy week we had here in Liberia. The week started off kind of sad as I had to say goodbye to all my friends in Grenville. I will miss them and the area SO MUCH!! Anyway, I was scheduled to leave on Thursday morning. I got all packed on Wednesday night and got a call from the Aps saying that everything was set for the next day. The next morning came and I never received a call informing me that the plane left Monrovia so I was getting a little worried. President Price called finally and told me that the Elder who was coming to replace me missed his flight!! So in my mind I was like "great another transfer in Greenville. " But the President told me to pack all of my things and hurry to the airport because he might have me fly back. We packed Elder Petersons bag as well just in case a miracle happened and we could both get out.      Sadly, after talking with the pilot and lots of phone calls we were told that I was the only one who cou...

Hey everyone!!     What a good week here in Greenville. We were able to put two of our friends on date. One is Pinky and the other Alexander. They have both taken their sweet time in deciding to come unto Christ but that's totally fine because we all take our own path in life!! Pinky has been studying with missionaries for 8 months and Alexander for 11. I'm so grateful that the spirit has finally touched their hearts and helped them to accept the restored gospel!     I just wanted to share a little update on our branch. Last week we had a general cleaning up of our church building and we invited all priesthood quorums and auxiliaries to come. We figured that nobody would come but to our surprise we had a large crowd and more importantly they all had fun together!! It really touched my heart to see the members come together and enjoy each other's company. The Branch is starting to pull it together and they are taking on more responsibility in helping the branch to pro...

Hey guys!! We had an awesome week this week!! We were blessed with a baptism and also the chance to fill the font by ourselves haha! So we'll get straight into the baptism. We've had a our good buddy Abel Doe on date for a while now and we finally had a free Saturday where we could hold a baptism service. But baptisms here are a joke because the font we have is a piece of junk. There's no way to pump water in because the zogos dug up and stole our pipe and wire then  there's no way to drain the water because the people who built it weren't too smart haha! So we get there at 12:30 on Friday and me and Elder Peterson started to haul the water out one bucket at a time. We then scrubbed it and hauled water to it from a pump that was down the road! We finished at 4:30 and I was so tired! The baptism went well though and I'm really happy for Abel! We also visited our RLDS group leader in butaw and taught him the restoration!! He accepted it well and we are planning to...

Rogue, Rogue, Rogue!!

Hey everyone,      We had a pretty exciting week in Greenville!      We were blessed to meet and teach a lot of new people who seem to have potential so fingers crossed it will continue!!      This morning at 4:30 I woke up to some woman yelling, "rogue, rogue, rogue!" So in Liberia they call criminals rogues. And usually if they find someone breaking into someone's house or shop everyone on the street just yells and screams. So this morning that's what I woke up to and my first thought was oh darn it someone had their house broken into. But my companion said we should get up and check to make sure it's not our house. So we go outside and we find our lawn chairs stuck on the razor wire and my rain boots right at the bottom of the fence. The rogue was so close to getting away with that stuff but thankfully our neighbor caught him so he dropped it all and ran. Living in Enterprise did not prepare me for Liberia at all. I was never worried about...
