Rogue, Rogue, Rogue!!
Hey everyone,
We had a pretty exciting week in Greenville!
We were blessed to meet and teach a lot of new people who seem to have potential so fingers crossed it will continue!!
This morning at 4:30 I woke up to some woman yelling, "rogue, rogue, rogue!" So in Liberia they call criminals rogues. And usually if they find someone breaking into someone's house or shop everyone on the street just yells and screams. So this morning that's what I woke up to and my first thought was oh darn it someone had their house broken into. But my companion said we should get up and check to make sure it's not our house. So we go outside and we find our lawn chairs stuck on the razor wire and my rain boots right at the bottom of the fence. The rogue was so close to getting away with that stuff but thankfully our neighbor caught him so he dropped it all and ran. Living in Enterprise did not prepare me for Liberia at all. I was never worried about locking doors or making sure things were safe back home. When I go back I'll be a little more serious about locking things up! Haha
On a more spiritual note, I've been thinking and studying a lot about the Priesthood. I've always known the priesthood to be the authority of God. And it is. But it is also so much more than that. As we worthily partake of priesthood ordinances and use the priesthood in our lives we will truly have the power of God with us. Sometimes we feel that maybe we aren't worthy to participate in gospel ordinances but we learned in the October 2021 General Conference, that "worthiness is not flawlessness." So if we are trying to be clean and repent then we are worthy and clean in God's eyes. I know that God restored his divine authority to the prophet Joseph Smith, and anyone that is seeking God's love and guidance can find it through His holy priesthood!
I can't believe it's May, time is truly running! I pray that all is going well back home. Feel free to shoot me an email if you have time!! I'd love to hear from you!! Love ya
