An RLDS Branch In The Middle Of The Jungle??

Hey everyone, what a crazy couple of weeks!! There have been so many memorable events that have happened!!      On Saturday we were able to attend the wedding of one of our investigators but this was not a normal wedding. It was a full on traditional wedding!! Everyone was dressed up in african clothing, they had loud African music playing the whole time it was quite the experience. One thing that I loved was they would hide all these women in the house and then they would cover them in lapa (just sheets of african fabric) and they would all come out of the house dancing and the groom would have to decide if it was his wife that was under the lapa! It was really fun to watch. Then after that the groom's family has to pay what they call "dowry."  So basically the poor family had to fork over a ton of money to the brides. In my opinion that's really stupid but I guess they like it here! Haha right as we were about to eat a hurricane blew in and almost blew the whole te...

Hey everyone!!     Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since I got an email out to ya. I have good news to report for the Greenville Missionaries. After a week of boiling hot dogs on a coal pot we received 3 full cans of cooking gas. It was probably the happiest day of my mission! Haha jk. We also got another drum of diesel for our generator. The crazy part is how much we paid for it!! President Price wrote us a check for 485 US dollars! I feel so bad for these people they're paying over 8 bucks for a gallon of gas!! I really hope the world calms down because this is getting a little ridiculous.     As far as the work is concerned it is going well!! We extended an invitation to Paul and his buddy Leo for baptism and they accepted!! One of the coolest things I've ever been a part of!! We should have a baptism on April 2nd!      Also, we were walking down the street the other day and Elder Jensen all of a sudden stops and walks into this little shop. At fi...

Hey everyone,     I hope all is well with you back in the home. We had a great week here in Greenville.     The first thing I want to tell you guys is that the gospel of Jesus Christ is probably the coolest thing ever! Haha the reason I say this is because I have seen it change people's hearts. I want to tell you about one of our friends named Paul. We met him probably 6 weeks ago and the progress he has made is unbelievable!! He is a tough immigration officer who works for the Liberian government. He wanted to know why we were here in Liberia so we told him. And he told us he would like to hear more so we scheduled to come back. The lessons we have had over the past few weeks have all been amazing and I've never felt the spirit so strong in my life. And I know for a fact that it was Heavenly Father and the spirit who have brought this mighty change into his life. He LOVES the Book of Mormon and it has played a key role in this entire process. I want to bear my testi...
