First Zone Conference!!

Image
Hey everyone!! I think I'll start writing summaries of each day so maybe my email will be a little more interesting! Haha Tuesday- Well today was my first zone conference!! It was held in Bong Mine which I'd about a 40 minute walk so not too bad! The instruction we received from our zone leaders, AP's, and president Price was wonderful. President Price challenged us to change some things with our schedule and to focus on key principles in our teaching such as the first vision. I'm so grateful for President and Sister Price. They are wonderful people, and you can see that they're very committed to the Gospel and following our Savior Jesus Christ. Also Sister Price gave me my first in field haircut today!! She did a great job! Haha after zone conference we went and taught a Princess Sonie who is on date to be baptized!! She is doing very well I'm excited for her! After that we found two new families to teach so that'll be great!! I just want to testify that He...

First Baptism And FuFu

Image
Hey everyone!! Well this week has been pretty solid! We were able to put one of our investigators on date to be baptized!! Her name is Princess and she is so nice and loves to learn about the gospel! So I'm excited for her!! Our days here are super busy!! We teach probably 6 lessons a day, so we just run from house to house trying to meet with investigators. It's a blessing though it keeps my mind focused on other things. On Friday we had to go to a meeting in Monrovia which is probably 2 hours from where I am in Kakata. So we had to find taxis that would take us there and that was an adventure!! Haha the first taxi we took was a little Nissan SUV it would normally hold 5 people but we put 8 people in!! We had the 5 up front then 3 guys in the trunk!! And the driver and passengers seats were laid back pretty far so it was hard for me to even fit in the car! The we took a KK. A KK is a little tiny taxi with 3 wheels, it's actually a pretty sweet little rig! We finally made i...

First Full Week In Liberia!

Image
Hey everyone!!     Well my first full week of being a Missionary in the field has come and gone. It flew by and it's also crazy to think that I've already been a Missionary for over a month! I've really enjoyed being a Missionary and I've already seen and experienced things that have strengthened my testimony so much!!      Luckily here in Liberia the people are very welcoming and love to talk about the gospel. So we teach all day every day which is such a blessing. I just want to share a little experience I had in one of our appointments the other day. We are teaching a girl named Rachel and she has never really had much to do with religion of any kind. So when we met her on the street the other day she invited us to her house to teach her! While we were teaching the first half of the first lesson the spirit came into my heart and I could feel God's love for Rachel and I knew that what we were doing in teaching her about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ's love ...

Weekly Email

Hey everyone!!      What a crazy week!! I'll start with a recap of the MTC.  I loved the MTC, such a spiritual place and I'm grateful I was able to go! We left the MTC for the airport at 430 in the morning on Wednesday! When we got to the airport I tried checking in to get my boarding pass and the lady who was helping me said my flights had been cancelled!!! So she had to call the Missionary travel office and get me a whole new flight plan! And because of this I had to fly alone which was super scary to me! So I flew from Salt Lake to Minneapolis and that flight wasn't too bad. I was able to find some friends from basketball that were on the same flight so I talked to them! When we landed in Minneapolis I was sitting by a little girl and as soon as the plane hit the ground she threw up!! It was kinda gross but none of it landed on me so I was fine! Haha I had a short layover in Minneapolis. From Minneapolis I flew to Paris and this was the part that really scared me!...
