First Zone Conference!!

Hey everyone!! I think I'll start writing summaries of each day so maybe my email will be a little more interesting! Haha

Tuesday- Well today was my first zone conference!! It was held in Bong Mine which I'd about a 40 minute walk so not too bad! The instruction we received from our zone leaders, AP's, and president Price was wonderful. President Price challenged us to change some things with our schedule and to focus on key principles in our teaching such as the first vision. I'm so grateful for President and Sister Price. They are wonderful people, and you can see that they're very committed to the Gospel and following our Savior Jesus Christ. Also Sister Price gave me my first in field haircut today!! She did a great job! Haha after zone conference we went and taught a Princess Sonie who is on date to be baptized!! She is doing very well I'm excited for her! After that we found two new families to teach so that'll be great!! I just want to testify that Heavenly Father loves us and he wants us to be happy! This morning was kinda tough and I was bummed about some stuff. But at zone conference things were said that were exactly what I needed to hear!!  Heavenly Father knows what happening in our lives every second of every day and he cares about all of it. He is always willing to help but we need go reach out and let him know that we're struggling. I promise that help will come.

Wednesday- Well it rained just about all day today!! So I it was rain boots and umbrellas for us!! We taught Naomi Paul she has been through all the lessons but she is living with her boyfriend. We have several people in that boat who are ready to be baptized but they have that one thing holding them up. Very frustrating!!  After that we walked like 2 miles to teach this girl named Agnes Tokpah she is a sweet little thing and loves to learn about the gospel. We taught a few more lessons after that! Elder and Sister Barker who are the senior couple missionaries are moving tomorrow! So they asked us to help them move their stove. Thankfully another couple is coming in early September to take their spot.

Thursday- Today was an awesome day! We taught several lessons and the people we taught seemed interested and invited us back to teach them again so that's awesome!! So a few stories, we taught this guy named David grieves. We are teaching his girlfriend Jenneh and her daughter Deborah. We gave him a pamphlet and he called us and wanted to discuss it. This was one of the best lessons I've been apart of. We explained the plan of Salvation and he asked a bunch of questions and we were able to explain them and give him the answers he needed! And he wants to meet again so that's amazing! Then we are teaching a woman named Irene and her family. The man she is living with is a member but he works in a different town and isn't always home. But he finally came home and we were able to talk to them about their situation because we all want Irene and the kids to get baptized. So they're going to try and get their situation settled. This is such a relief because we were starting to lose hope for Irene because she wasn't progressing! But hopefully they can get everything in order so they can be baptized!

Friday Another long day today we taught 7 lessons! They were all really good and all of our investigators seem to be doing well!! Our last lesson of the day was amazing! We taught the Jisa family!! They are so fun to be around, and they have the cutest little kids! One of the little girls told me I had "really bright skin" haha! We taught them the restoration and introduced the Book of Mormon to them. They were very interested and asked lots of questions! They agreed to read it and meet with us in a few days! Such a great family and lesson

Saturday- Today was a struggle haha! Our first 3 lessons canceled on us so we tried looking for new investigators and that went no where! So the first part of our day drug on for what seemed like days! Luckily in the afternoon it picked up! We visited the Carter family. We always read a chapter from the Book of Mormon then they usually feed us! They're such a fun family and I always enjoy seeing them! Then we were able to finish out the night strong and teach 2 more lessons! Princess Sonie will hopefully get baptized this coming Saturday!! All is going well with her!

Sunday- My favorite day of the week!! Church was awesome as always! After church were took a short Sunday nap and then headed out for the afternoon! We met with Ernest he is around 17 years old and he actually walked up to us the other day and asked if we could teach him! He is progressing very well and I'm excited for his future!

This week blew by it feels like I just sent an email yesterday haha! Serving a mission is really hard but the blessings I see from serving and seeing people learn about Jesus christ and his gospel makes it all worth it!! I hope you are all doing well. I think about you every day. Love you all!!!
