Weekly

Hey everyone!!

What a good week here in Greenville. We were able to put two of our friends on date. One is Pinky and the other Alexander. They have both taken their sweet time in deciding to come unto Christ but that's totally fine because we all take our own path in life!! Pinky has been studying with missionaries for 8 months and Alexander for 11. I'm so grateful that the spirit has finally touched their hearts and helped them to accept the restored gospel!

I just wanted to share a little update on our branch. Last week we had a general cleaning up of our church building and we invited all priesthood quorums and auxiliaries to come. We figured that nobody would come but to our surprise we had a large crowd and more importantly they all had fun together!! It really touched my heart to see the members come together and enjoy each other's company. The Branch is starting to pull it together and they are taking on more responsibility in helping the branch to progress!

Last week we were getting ready for bed and all of a sudden our gen decided it wanted to shut off and not turn back on. Luckily, we have a smaller gen that works, the only problem is we have to fill it with fuel by hand and add oil every single night. Sadly we don't have any funnels so we try our best to not miss the hole but we usually walk out of the gen room smelling like a grease monkey.

Also just in closing I learned I will be getting transferred out of Greenville and my new area will be Old Road in Central Monrovia. According to the elders that live there, my apartment will be the nicest in the mission!!! I'm a little nervous going from the Bush to the big city and I don't know if I'm quite ready to adjust back to that life.

I'm so grateful that I was able to serve in Greenville. It was probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. To live alone with a companion for 5 months and not be able to see or talk with anyone else. I had to learn to rely on the Lord and see the good in every situation. I also learned that the Lord will NEVER leave us. Even though we may feel alone he is always there. I've also made two great friends in Elder Jensen and Elder Peterson. I'll never forget my time in the Bush, all the beautiful places and great people I've been privileged to meet and teach!!  Because of the rain and the condition of the roads I will get to fly back to Monrovia in a little bush plane!! My flight leaves Thursday so hopefully I don't crash in the jungle!!

That's all for this week! Love you guys
