Baptims and Flutternutters!!
Tuesday- Well we had zone conference today and it was do fun!! The covid restrictions have lessened so we were able to have our whole zone come!! We probably had 30 missionaries! The things we learned were amazing but the food was my favorite part! haha jk. Kinda. When we have a normal zone conference they pay people to cater. We had chicken and rice of course but the chicken was delicious and the rice was similar to fried rice and it had some vegetables in it. But my favorite part was the noodle salad!! It reminded me of noodle salad that my mom makes so it was great to have some more normal food! I wish I could've gotten a picture for you guys but these African Elders love their food so they had MOUNTAINS of rice and noodle salad on their plates!! Haha I thought I ate a lot until I saw their plates! After zone conference we were able to have a lesson with a man named Abraham. It went so well and I'm excited for him!
Wednesday- We started off today by teaching a couple lessons! We met with a new investigator named Musu! Things went really well with her but we'll see as time goes on. Elder Yemoh had an upset stomach today and we were in a place called telecom and he had to use the bathroom right then and there. So we hopped on a moto. This is one of the two things President Price said not to do!! Haha but when you have to use the bathroom you have to use the bathroom! Haha so we hustled back to the apartment on the moto so my companion could take care of business! After that we finished out the day with more good lessons!
Thursday- We started off today with District District Council. We had the Morrison's who are the new couple missionaries that just arrived Monday come and join us. Elder Morrison right in the middle just went crazy with questions! Haha we probably sat for an hour answering his questions but that's okay! Haha its gonna be awesome having the Morrisons right next door! After that we went to Fatu's House and Elder Mukonda was able to interview her for her baptism on Saturday and all went well with that so all 3 of our investigators should be baptized Saturday!! After that we taught a few new people and Dollar! Sadly, Dollar is leaving for Monrovia for a month so we won't get to teach him for a while. After that we had to go to the market to buy chicken and as we were walking we see Elder Morrison with all these people standing around him and he's just teaching his heart out! Haha usually couple missionaries don't proselyte but the Morrisons they're not your regular couple missionaries! Haha
Friday- Our first three lessons today were SO GOOD!! We taught Andrew first and we taught him the plan of Salvation. After that we had to go to Elder Mukonda and Elder Shakespears area so Elder Yemoh could could a baptism interview! It took a while so that was most of our afternoon!
Saturday- AHHHHH MAN!! Today was a GREAT DAY! Today was baptism day for the kakata area!! So we were able able spend our morning in Bong Mine at the baptism service. We had around 13ish people get baptized!! Me and Elder Mukonda were asked to baptize so we both baptized around 6 people!! It was my first time baptizing and it was so cool! The spirit was so strong and I could feel the love that Heavenly Father has for these people! God loves all of his children. It doesn't matter if they're white or black. Everyone on earth is a child of God and deserves to be treated as such!! After the baptism we came home and the Morrisons invited us over for lunch!! We had Flutternutters and potato chips! A flutternutter is sandwich with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff!! It was DANG good!! After that we taught 4 lessons so Today was a busy but AWESOME DAY!!
Sunday- Sacrament meeting was PACKED today!! We had quite a few investigators come so that was awesome! After sacrament we took a nap and then headed out and taught a few lessons! We stopped at Sister Bondos for dinner and while we were eating it started to POUR rain!! So we had to wait for the rain to stop and I swear we sat for an hour! The rain in Liberia is crazy!! It rains so hard and there are little rivers running everywhere it's crazy!
Man the weeks just keep speeding up!! September is almost over and I can hardly believe it! This was a great week. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true Church and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I wish I would've taken the time in high school to really study the book like I have on my mission. It's an amazing book and it contains the fullness of the everlasting gospel! I invite you all to read from it every day. I know it will bless your lives. I miss you all so much and I hope you're doing well!! Love ya!
