Bush Meat And An Empty Font

Tuesday- Our day started off with District Council! I love District Council!! Our District is very small it's just me and Elder yemho and then our neighbors next door Elder Bennett and Mukonda. I'm grateful for Mukonda and Bennett they have both been out for a long time and they know a lot. So it's a blessing to be able to sit and learn from them. After District Council we had a long day of teaching appointments!! We try and go to Holder farm which is a LONG walk from kakata on Tuesdays so we can get it out of the way haha! While we were there we got an FM!! (Free Meal) It was the usual rice, soup, and fish. But there was also a different type of meat that neither me or Elder yemoh had ever seen!! President Price told us not to eat "bush meat" which can be anything. So instead of eating the bush meat we threw it to a stray dog that was nearby! Haha after that we finished up with a few more teaching appointments!

Wednesday- Well today we covered some ground!! Haha we walked several miles. We got in contact with someone who wanted to be taught but they live in the bush way out in the middle of nowhere! So we called her so she could give us directions. But sadly she didn't pick up so we walked that far for nothing!! I was a little upset. We taught 5 lessons today and they were all decent. 

Thursday- Today was a good day! We taught 6 lessons and got an FM from the Carter family! This evening during out last appointment it started to lightly rain. As we were walking back to our house it turned into a massive thunderstorm!! Haha me and Elder Yemoh didn't didn't have our umbrellas so we were sprinting to get to our house. I have never seen rain like that before it was coming down soooo hard!! And I was SOAKED!!!! Haha all in all had a good day!

Friday- I had my first exchange today! I went with Elder Bennett. Elder Bennett leaves leaves to go home on the 13th so I begged Elder Yemoh to let me go with him. Thankfully Elder Yemoh agreed! So I spent the day asking Elder Bennett LOTS of questions! Haha I learned a lot from him and I'm thankful for the tips he gave me.

Saturday- Well today was tough. We were supposed to baptize Princess but sadly the people at the chapel had troubles with the generator so we weren't able to pump any water!! I felt so bad because it is a LONG walk from Kakata to bong mine!! So we payed for princess to catch a taxi home. Pretty discouraging but I learned a lot about how you need to go about setting up baptisms so that's a good thing. Hopefully we'll be able to get Princess baptized in the coming weeks! 

Sunday- Church was good today! Elder Bennett gave his farewell testimony!! So that was kind of sad! After that we had a good day of teaching and finding! We had an FM that was pretty dang good! It's called a palm butter! 

Well this week seemed to fly by but at the same time it was SO LONG. Mission time is so strange haha! Hope you are all doing well. Love you all
