Last Email
Hey Everyone,
Well, this is it – my last email. I never thought I'd make it to the end of my mission, but I made it through, and I'm so glad I did.
This last week was super awesome. One of our friends, Oretha, was able to get baptized, and it was incredible to see her finally receive the sacrament. We had 2 exchanges, and I enjoyed both of them and learned a lot from both of the Elders I served with. We taught one of the most powerful lessons of my mission to a man named Toby. He's just super prepared, and the spirit was undeniable.
As I reflect back on these two years, my heart swells with gratitude. Serving in Liberia was definitely challenging, but it's the greatest mission on earth, and I'm so happy I was called to serve these wonderful people. They taught me so many valuable lessons. They taught me how to be humble and how to love God. I hope and pray that I'll be able to do those two things throughout the rest of my life.
I just want to leave you with my testimony that I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. They love us and always will. I know that Christ atoned for our sins and understands all our suffering and afflictions. I know that the world can't bring us happiness. Only the restored gospel of Jesus Christ can bring the joy that we seek. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and living church on earth, guided by the Lord Himself. I know that the Book Of Mormon is true. I love that book with all my heart. It changed my life.
I will fly out of Liberia on Friday and will arrive home in St. George on Saturday night at 10:30 PM. Thank you so much for all the support and love you have all shown me throughout my mission. See you soon.
