Hey Everyone, 

Just wanted to check in with ya and let you all know how things went this week.

I went to my last MLC and had my 2nd to last interview with President Thomas. Pretty sad that I won't be able to be around that guy. He's a great example to me and he's taught me a lot of important things.

We were able to have a meeting with our bishop and a couple we are teaching and we talked about the importance of marriage. It went really well and we hope to start the process of getting a marriage certificate in the coming weeks so that was exciting!!

Tonight I was washing dishes and my companion walked in and told me that his father wanted to speak to me. I got a little nervous but said okay. We had a great conversation and at the end he told me he loved me. I thought to myself "I don't even know this guy but he said he loves me." Throughout my mission as i've tried my best to serve the Lord every day i've learned the importance of showing love and even telling others that I love them. As I've tried to do that I've seen my investigators and even other missionaries' hearts soften and change. Elder Sam's father made my day so much better just by telling me that he loved me. I encourage all of you to focus on showing your love to others but also telling them verbally that you love them. It will bless both of you as you do so!
