Hey everyone,

 

 

Sorry it's been so long since I wrote you an email. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!! I CANNOT believe it's 2023, time is moving so fast and it makes me a little nervous haha

 

 

Anyway, things are going well here in Chocolate city. The work here is amazing and we are seeing so much success. Liberia truly is the greatest mission in all the world. I'm still with my stud companion Elder Ncube from Zimbabwe and we are having a blast. We had a baptism on Saturday and we're planning one for the 28th. The candidates for the 28th are two couples. Sharp and oretha and David and yassa. They're all so awesome and I hope and pray that things will go well for them.

 

 

I'll tell you a little about what Christmas is like in Liberia. First of all, it's hotter than heck, secondly, the people eat really good that day. A common dish is DOG. 

That's right, I saw so many people cutting up dog carcasses and preparing them to eat on Christmas day. I walked up to one kid and asked him what he was doing. He said, "I'm preparing my dog for lunch tomorrow." He was wrapping the paws of the dog in its intestines, now if that doesn't make you wanna sit down and eat I don't know what does.

 

 

On a more spiritual note, lately in my personal studies I've been reading the Book of Mormon in 3 Nephi where Christ comes and ministers among the Nephites. As I've read, I've felt the sweetest feeling of peace and joy in my heart. I know that the Book of Mormon really is true and that it was brought forth in our day to help us with our current  challenges and struggles. I promise that anyone who is struggling can find peace and comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ. And I know that Jesus Christ will minister to us ONE BY ONE. The same way he did to the Nephites.
