Weekly Email

Hey guys, 

I hope everything is going well back Home! Things are going good here. This is the last week of the transfer and I can hardly believe it. Time is going so dang fast! 

Well our new mission president should be here on Friday night so thats exciting! But I feel really bad for him because trying to run this mission is very difficult to say the least. But,  I know the Lord has prepared him and his wife to serve here and I know that they will do great! 

We have had a couple of baptisms and it's been an awesome experience to see these people change their lives and make important covenants with God. We have a few families who are waiting to get their marriage certificate so they can also be baptized. One of our converts named Annie was baptized on Saturday. I was lucky enough to get to perform the ordinance but we had a little trouble. When she came down into the font I could tell she was really nervous and scared so I tried to tell her that she was going to be okay and that I would take care of her. So we continue on with the baptism and as she goes down she totally panics let's go of her nose and water rushes up her nose so I hurried and pulled her back up. When she got back up she was just coughing up water and it was terrible. Sadly we had to perform the baptism 3 more times so we could get it done correctly. I felt bad but it was also kinda funny.

We also had a crazy experience when we were walking back to our apartment on Tuesday. We stopped at a little shop to buy some bread and this man walks up from behind and tells me and my companion that we should buy him bread. We told him that "our bossman says we can't buy people bread." He did not like that very much so he grabbed my arm and I told him to stop touching me and then he got up in my face and started calling me every name in the book. he asked me if I wanted to fight and I told him no but he wouldn't let me and Elder Thorpe leave so I pushed him out of the way and Elder Thorpe snuck around him and he followed us home for a little ways yelling stuff at us but he eventually stopped following us and went back to drink a little more.

Anyway that was some stuff about my week! Love you guys
