Thanksgiving In Liberia

Hey everyone!!

I hope you all had a happy thanksgiving!! My first big holiday on the mission was great!! Of course it was a little sad not being home with my family but we were busy that day so I didn't have a whole lot of time to think about it!

This week we taught a lot of good lessons and we found some new people who are SOLID!!!

Gratitude is something has been on my mind this week with it being thanksgiving and all. Sometimes I start to feel sorry for myself and I feel like the whole world is against me. But if we take a step back and stop focusing on the bad or the things that are hard in our lives we will see how merciful the Lord has been to us. Some days I say,  "Why did the Lord send me to Liberia?" Or "These people they don't listen and they stink." But as I've tried to take a step back and see my life from a distance I realize that I'm INCREDIBLY blessed. I might not have some of the nice things that other missionaries have, but I am able to teach all day which is something other missionaries would kill for. I have also seen how much these Liberian people have taught me. I will forever be grateful for the people of Liberia and I'm grateful I still have more time to learn from them.

So I encourage you guys to take a step back and see how the Lord has blessed you!! I know it will bless your life and make you feel a little more happy!!

Well that's all for this week so I miss you guys and love ya!!!
