Tuesday- We had District Council today which is always a good time. I'm so blessed to live with zone leaders and get to learn from them every day! After that our first lesson was with Joyce. We've been teaching her for a few weeks now and for some reason things have become stagnant. So we talked today about keeping commitments and showing effort and she said she would try better so we'll see how things go with Joyce. We went to Fatu's house today. She had been a member for a week and we were able to talk about learning and Serving in the church! I'm so excited for her, she had a really strong testimony and it's amazing to see how the gospel of Jesus Christ has helped her grow. After that we taught a few more good lessons. Lots of walking today but I guess that's my job! Haha
Wednesday- Well today was a tough day. Basically everyone we wanted to see was busy but we eventually found enough people to go out and get a full day of lessons in but sadly almost all of these people ended up being gone when we got to their house or said they were too busy! So today was a tough one but we were able to meet with Andrew. He amazes me, all he wants to do is obey his Father in Heaven and its amazing to watch him grow and progress.
Thursday- today we had some good lessons. Not a lot happened today!
Friday- Today was a crazy day haha! We had several people bail on us so it made it tough! We were able to find a few people and get some new contacts so that was good. We taught this old woman named Joanne Gardner!! Haha sounds like she's from Enterprise!! It was fun to teach her about the restoration and the Prophet Joseph Smith!! She seemed interested and said she would read and pray so hopefully things go well for her. When we were coming home to teach our last lesson of the day we stopped by Jenneh Coopers house to say hello and we found out that her son who is around 4 got bit by a dog on his face!!!!! And apparently this dog had rabies!! So they had to take him in to get shots and his eye stitched up! Luckily the dog missed his actual eye!! But they had to kill this dog and nobody here owns a gun so they basically held it down and smashed its head with a stick!!! The things I see here blow my mind sometimes haha!
Saturday- Our first lesson today was with Joseph Kennady who is Andrew Kennedys brother and his friend Solomon. We're super excited for these two they seem interested and they're keeping commitments so hopefully they come to church on Sunday! After that we taught a few lessons and then we headed back to the church where we were able to sit and teach 2 lessons. We are teaching a new man named Mark. He is so knowledgeable and understands a lot about the gospel already and he is also keeping commitments so that is awesome. After that we were finally able to go back and teach our friend Sylvester. He's the one I said is from Monrovia and seems to be more educated. We reviewed the restoration with him and encouraged him to read from the BOM. So hopefully he will!
Sunday- Today was fast and testimony meeting. I always enjoy hearing the members testimonies!! We visited President Mulbah today he has been sick with malaria for the past few days. He's feeling better so that's good! We were finally able to meet with Esther Nelson, we put her on date to be baptized on the 23rd of this month so that's exciting! We finished the night by teaching Morris Flomo. Morris was baptized two weeks ago and he's doing so well I'm very proud of him!!
Well we got news that Elder Yemoh will be leaving soon for his new area so we'll have to see what they decide to do with me!! Hope you guys are doing well. Love ya! I'll try and get better pics next week.
