Exchange And Sacrifice

Tuesday- District Council was excellent this week! We had Elder and Sister Morrison come and participate and it's great to hear their comments and input! Today we had an exchange. Elder Shakespear came with me in my area and it was a ton of fun! We taught some good lessons and were able to find some new people! It was a blast! And to end the day we made tacos and that was lovely! Haha

 

 

Wednesday- We taught lots of lessons today! We taught Andrew and that lesson was great as always. After that we taught his brother Joseph and Solomon the plan of Salvation. I love the plan of Salvation. I've come to understand it much better in the short time I've been serving. I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and as we strive to be the best we can be each day the Lord will take care of us! We had Book Of Mormon class today and it went for 2 HOURS!! We had a lot of members show up and they loved to comment on EVERY SINGLE VERSE!! Haha it was really great to hear their testimonies. 

 

 

Thursday- We taught lots of good lessons today! We went back and saw Joanne Gardner and while we were there her daughter and her were having a fight so Elder Yemoh tried to calm them down and eventually they stopped! When Liberians get mad and start yelling it sounds like they're speaking Chinese so I kinda just sat there haha! 

 

 

Friday- We were able to teach Musu today. Usually when we teach Musu her friend Grace is always there and Grace is always rolling her eyes and acting like she doesn't care. But Musu cares and I feel like Grace is influencing Musu so I hope we can dump Grace and just start teaching Musu alone. When we teach Musu alone the lesson goes so well and the spirit is always strong. Elder Yemoh also got a haircut today!! I love watching the African people get their haircut. It's so fun the barber puts a razor blade in a comb and just goes to town. Then he takes regular scissors and finishes cutting it. Its so fun to watch!! We finished the day teaching Abraham!! This lesson was great as always! Abraham told us that the Book of Mormon was true and it was amazing to hear Abraham bear his own testimony!!

 

 

Saturday- Today was great. We taught lots of lessons and one of our investigators named Love committed to being baptized so that's amazing!!! I just wanted to bear my testimony that I know the Book of Mormon is true. It is ANOTHER testament of Jesus Christ. My knowledge of the new and old testament has grown so much while I've been in Liberia and I know that when we study from the Bible and the Book of Mormon we can better understand the doctrine and teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ!! Reading from the Book of Mormon everyday gives us power and I know this to be true because I've seen it in my own life. So I encourage you all to spend some time in your scriptures everyday, I know it will bless your lives!!!

 

 

Sunday- We had a great Sunday today!! We had 15 investigators come to church! So it was awesome to see them all there! The Come Follow Me lesson was also excellent this week!! As members of the church we are going to have to sacrifice. Especially in the coming days as we draw nearer to the return of Jesus Christ. If we find ourselves struggling to sacrifice we can always look to our Savior. Jesus Christ sacrificed all he had for us, he gave his own life for us. So just remember that when things get hard!! We met lots of good people today and had a delicious Sunday dinner at Sister Bondos!! 

 

 

Overall this week FLEW by!! It was a great week full of lots of testimony building experiences!! I'm grateful for all of you guys and miss you like crazy! Also I'd love to hear from you guys so send an email if you'd like!! Love ya!!
